Measurements require context
A measurement record identifies the exact model and setting, instrument, calibration or reference status, distance, angle, room dimensions, ambient condition, surfaces, fixture position, date, and tester. A lux value without its geometry and environment is not presented as a universal output claim.
Manufacturer lumens, color temperature, battery life, sensor range, power, and weather claims remain labeled as advertised until measured or otherwise independently verified.
What can be observed
Relevant tests may record minimum and maximum illuminance, measured color temperature, color consistency, dimming behavior, visible flicker, glare, diffusion, power draw, standby draw, surface heat, sensor angle and range, response time, timeout, false triggers, and power-loss recovery.
Results describe the tested sample and conditions. They do not establish medical benefit, code compliance, complete safety, laboratory certification, or performance in every room.
Corrections and repeatability
Raw notes, photographs, instrument details, setup diagrams, and calculations are retained with the test record. Material measurement corrections receive a visible update rather than a silent date change.
