Editorial Policy

The accuracy, originality, sourcing, AI-assistance, conflict, update, correction, and safety rules behind Lumen Hush content.

Accuracy and original value

Every indexable page must solve one defined user decision and add an original framework, table, diagram, tool, measurement, or documented research record. We do not publish rewritten retailer descriptions, keyword variations, empty comparisons, or product cards without analysis.

Titles, descriptions, dates, authorship, testing labels, and structured data must match the visible page. Dates change only after a substantive review or update.

Seasonal updates and evergreen URLs

Christmas and seasonal guides use permanent URLs. A year may appear in a title only after a substantive current-year review. We do not create duplicate annual URLs, automatically change years, or alter dates merely to appear fresh.

Seasonal records include the last substantive update, product and safety verification where relevant, next review deadline, activation window, availability state, affiliate-link verification, and an update summary. Stale commercial guidance is downgraded or removed until reverified.

Image rights and visual truth

Measurements, diagrams, room mockups, test photographs, and Pinterest graphics must be original or properly licensed. We do not copy restricted retailer imagery or use generated product scenes as evidence of a real product test.

Visuals cannot hide product limitations, invent price or availability, or convey essential instructions only through embedded text.

Sources and verification

Technical and safety-sensitive claims should prefer official regulators, standards bodies, verified manufacturer documentation, and primary program policies. A safety or certification claim records the exact claim, verification state, source, model, reviewer, and date.

Manufacturer specifications are treated as claims until independently measured. Marketplace listings are not accepted as permanent evidence for price, seller, warranty, ratings, stock, or safety certification.

Human review and AI assistance

Software and AI may assist with outlines, comparison structure, consistency checks, and draft language. They cannot create personal experience, measurements, credentials, quotations, sources, ratings, or product facts. A human owner remains responsible for publication approval and corrections.

AI assistance is never a substitute for a named tester, qualified reviewer, official source, or real owner identity.

Conflicts and commercial independence

Affiliate rate, advertiser payment, sponsorship, gifted access, or brand relationship cannot buy a ranking or positive conclusion. Material relationships are disclosed near the relevant work.

Sponsored content must be labeled, separated from independent review scoring, and allowed to reach an unfavorable conclusion.

Medical, sleep, and safety boundaries

Lumen Hush does not claim that a light cures insomnia, treats a condition, prevents falls, removes fire risk, or is universally safe. Health-related content requires carefully qualified evidence and appropriate expert review before publication.

Electrical installation and local code interpretation belong with a qualified electrician or relevant authority.
